October 2017 marked one whole year with the "Let's Hang On" touring theatre show. It has been the most incredible 12 months of my professional music career to date! Not to mention getting to perform in some of the most beautiful theatres the UK has to offer. Joining the show finally allowed me to go full time into the music industry (which if there are any musicians are reading this, you will know just how hard that can be!) It has also enabled me to really focus on my playing and my career in general.
My first show was The Corn Exchange, Kings Lynn on 21st October 2016 with all of the folks at LHO. Boy, was I nervous! I had done only a couple of rehearsals with some of the band (Dino - Guitar, Martin - Bass, Stephen - Vocals and Steve - Trumpet) but this was actually the first time I had played with some of the members of the band! My knees were shaking! Nevertheless, the show went surprisingly well (other than a few minor hiccups, which can be expected on a new show).
So, 12 months down the line and about 80 shows later (and roughly 60 drum solos), I am loving the show more than ever! Each day I am getting more involved with the ins and outs of the show; 2018 for LHO is looking great!
Over the past 12 months I have met some truly amazing people; having made some life long friendships with those involved with the show in one way or another. A big thanks to the following people:
